Director of Schools
Rebecca Stone
I am honored to be the Director of Alcoa City Schools. I became part of the Alcoa Family in 2015 after spending 15 years in Blount County and 6 years in Anderson County. I was a classroom teacher for 3 years, a school counselor for 11 years, 12 years as a school administrator, and this is my third year as Director of Schools.
I am a lifelong resident of Tennessee, having grown up in Anderson County. And currently, I reside in Knoxville with my husband, two children, and 3 dogs. (Yes! I love animals!) Spending time with family is extremely important to me and when I am not with my biological family, I am with my Alcoa Family at school events.
We are fortunate to be in a community that is supportive and encouraging. We consider our school to be a community where our staff, students, parents, and community are all stakeholders. Working with our students every day and helping them grow academically, emotionally, and socially is imperative in our mission. Building and nurturing relationships are what we do best and remain our priority.
I am truly blessed to be a part of Alcoa City Schools and I look forward to both the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead. Go Tornadoes!
